Manchester City have reached the Champions League final after a thrilling 4-3 penalty shootout victory over Real Madrid. The match finished 1-1 on the night and 4-4 on aggregate, with City goalkeeper Ederson saving Karim Benzema's spot-kick to send the English side through.
City will now face either Liverpool or Villarreal in the final in Paris on May 28. It will be their second appearance in the showpiece event, having lost to Chelsea last season.
Real Madrid were the better side for much of the match and took the lead through Karim Benzema's penalty in the 23rd minute. However, City equalised just before half-time through Riyad Mahrez.
The second half was a tense affair, with both sides having chances to win the game. However, the match went to penalties, and City ultimately prevailed.
