Noel is a veteran center who has played for several teams throughout his career
The Brooklyn Nets have signed center Nerlens Noel to a 10-day contract, the team announced Monday.
Noel, 29, is a 6-foot-11, 220-pound center who has played for the Philadelphia 76ers, Dallas Mavericks, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Detroit Pistons over his eight-year NBA career.
He has averaged 7.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game over 451 career games.
The Nets are in need of some depth in their frontcourt, as starting center Nic Claxton is currently out with a hamstring injury.
Noel is expected to provide some much-needed backup minutes behind Claxton, who is averaging 12.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game this season.
The Nets are currently 34-24 and are in fourth place in the Eastern Conference.
